Bug Description

On 12.04.1 32 Bit and 64 Bit using Empathy 3.4.2.3 the option for Desktop Sharing is grayed out. After around June it stopped working. All other options work correctly like Video call, Audio call and even Transfering files but Desktop Sharing does not.

There is no error output in dmesg when I run empathy, the option just stopped working. After running it from the terminal I get the following output when for example trying to edit info from a user:

(empathy-accounts:14449): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: instance of invalid non-instantiatable type `(null)'

(empathy-accounts:14449): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_handler_disconnect: assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

(empathy:14430): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_source_remove: assertion `tag > 0' failed

(empathy:14430): eds-WARNING **: edsf-persona-store.vala:2078: Error in address book view query: GDBus.Error:org.gnome.evolution.dataserver.AddressBook.ContactIDAlreadyExists: Contact ID already exists
