Please mention in man page how /etc/magic.mime affects `file'

Bug Description

The 'file' program is affected by the presence of a symlink named "/etc/magic.mime".

You can see the effect of that symlink's existence by looking at the following bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/104912

The problem is, 'file's manpage makes no mention of "/etc/magic.mime" (that I can discern) in its FILES section. So the manpage is misleading because /etc/magic.ime *does* matter to file's behavior, but isn't listed in the FILES section.

How can the "importance" of this bug be set to "wishlist"??? It's an actual bug in the documentation. The man page is supposed to list all of the relevant files, and /etc/magic.mime is a relevant file, and it's not mentioned in the man page!

This bug report doesn't represent a request for a new feature, it's describing an actual bug!
