Bug Description

Hi,

I currently can't use scanimage with my HP Scanjet 8200C

In

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=680767

they describe that this bug came with 1.0.22 and did not exist in 1.0.21.

Meanwhile 1.0.23 is available, maybe this would help.

regards

This bug still exists in Mint 18

Xsane generates the error: "Failed to open device 'avision:libusb:009:003': Operation not supported"

The only work around I've found is to us vuescan (commercial software). vuescan even supports transparency scanning, something the sane driver never did, even when it worked.

I should mention, that I have this problem on the Scanjet 8200, I do not have the 8200c

Hadmut Danisch, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

To see if this is already resolved in Ubuntu, could you please test http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?
