Bug Description

Gimp -> File -> Create -> Screenshot -> Select a region to grab -> delay to ~6 -> Snap -> open up some global menu entry -> wait and watch gimp

Gimp does not show the grab-cursor but does just grab some small area.

For me, this doesn't work with any menu opened, even GIMP's context menu. Are you sure this is not a gtk+ bug?

To be honest, I've got no idea :^) but I'll change the affecting projects as this sounds reasonable.

I can't confirm this on Ubuntu 13.04 with GIMP 2.8.4. Are you still affected by this bug? Thank you for telling us!

This issue has sat incomplete for more six years now without any response to comment #4. I'm going to close it as "Invalid" as the bug is not reproducible here using Ubuntu 18.04 and wasn't as previously noted with Ubuntu 13.04.

Please feel free to re-open this bug report if this is still an issue when using a currently supported release of Ubuntu.
