Bug Description

I hesitate till now to post this bug, because I'm aware that I have no proofs on
what I'm writing, but...

Ten days ago, I installed the new x.org packages. Since then, when I launch
almost any program, the program itself requires much more time then before to
start; the same applies when switching from a window to another (already open)
one. And this happens with either Kde or Gnome...

a) this WORKSFORME
b) no-one else has reported the same slowness but with Composite, in which case
it's known to be slow and the acceleration architecture needs to be thrown away
and replaced; 'don't do that, then'
c) if you're talking about a hoary upgrade, it looks like the gamin issue (you
may need 'apt-get install gamin')

Last Saturday, I make a general downgrade, coming back from hoary to warty, and
so that slowness disappeared.
I don't know what was the cause, but may be the problem is related to UTF-8
issue on x.org packages... (see bug 10224)

Again, I believe the issue is most likely gamin.
