This is because google discontinued its weather api. The switch to yahoo weather will be up soon.

thanks man i am thinking bout starting to build a plug in for my own
personal use but i still have to buy the hard ware (50.00) exstention
cord in order to actually get started (your alarm clock will turn my
coffee pot on via blue tooth once i have the hardware set up .)

The easiest way is to wait a few days for ubuntu to do a build, and then you can just get it through the repositories. If you want it sooner, you can download the source from this site and build yourself. The source tarball is on the main page, you can download the /debian folder separately. You'll need to install cdbs and devscripts, then enter the source directory and run debuild. Good luck and post to let me know if the bugs you had check out properly.

yeah i hate being a newb everything you just said is over my head exsept the part where you said wait a few days for ubuntu to release the new build. (realy wish you would start thowing everything in .deb files )

thanks for your work and all BTW still the best damn alarm clock out there.
