Most custom-built launchers are not shown in Slingshot

Slingshot should show a menu's subdirectories when it's in category mode. I use Wine, and recently the Wine category was implemented (see bug #1045583) but the launchers in "Programs" don't show up, neither does the folder for the icons.

This was reported to happen when installing custom-built launchers to /usr/share/application/s as well.

i have made some changes to include wine programs but for showing sub directories we need designer input.

You could list maps inside the app categories, and when click on them, make an arrow to go back if you want to go back to the root again.

I have the same issue. I can't launch Windows apps with Slingshot, but other launchers (for example Synapse) are able to find those apps just fine.

This is not true, I have Slingshot showing Glimpse apps from ~/.local/share/applications/glimpse just fine. The problem is likely a more generic one, related to .menu file and category sorting.

Thanks for the fix. Could a Wine menu be added as an option? The current "Wine" menu is hard coded, which is nasty.
