Bug Description

hello,
last week had fesity installed. Decided to try other distrobutions so this week, actually a few days ago, I installed feisty again.
I generally install the same applications on my system that i use frequently, one of them is sharpcontruct. This worked well last week on feisty having only to install one extra library,, however this install in addition to that extra library, it is now requesting gtkglexrmm. That library is no longer aviablle and is not in the repositories.
I have other aplications that depend on that library and I cannot use them now.
I am hoping this is just an oversight.
having tried to compile the source doesn't seem to work either.
Again, this is conusing. since it was available last week in feisty and now is not
 thanks

I'm working on a Gutsy package for gtkglextmm 1.2. I'll upload it to REVU as soon as it's up again.

Due to a policy change (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-motu/2007-November/002684.html), I set this back to 'triaged'. Use 'In Progress' if there's a source package for review available.

Changed in gtkglextmm:
status: In Progress → Triaged
Changed in gtkglextmm:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist

I also wish to express support for getting this package (back) in ubuntu. gtkmm is an excellent, well-supported set of gtk bindings for C++, and after a review we found gtkglextmm to be the best solution for getting OpenGL in gtkmm. We've written several neural data visualization applications that depend on this, and currently have to provide the gtkglextmm deb to our users independently. (re)Inclusion in ubuntu would be a big win for us -- thanks!

gtkglextmm-1.2.0 is required for the visualization in the FLOSS head / eye tracking suite I'm working on.

I've posted Ubuntu 7.10 binaries for gtkglextmm in the "For developers" section of vpython.org. I did clean installs of 7.10 on two different laptops (Gateway and Sony). It built on the Gateway but not on the Sony! I'm guessing there's something wrong with the build machinery that comes with the gtkglextmm source, as I've had trouble building from source on Windows, on Ubuntu 7.10, and on Mac OSX 10.5.

This has made it into Hardy and just needs to be backported to Feisty/Gutsy

I've just created a backport from Hardy to Gutsy. I've installed and used it locally without problems so far.
As I'm rather new to all this, I don't know where to go from here, so I just attached the package to this note.
Please excuse me in case I did anything wrong.
