Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
Ubuntu dims the screen before asking for user password for privileged activities.
With compiz enabled (Enable Desktop effects), the screen blanks (gets black) and then dims.
On wakeup (from suspend) the background is blackened then background and wallpaper appear.
