Bug Description

Binary package hint: bsdmainutils

I think we, Ubuntu users, really don't need a task in /etc/cron.daily.

Most of us don't have sendmail package, required to run that script. (We don't have a local mail agent)

We could drop that file from Ubuntu package - perhaps the whole package, but it's another bug report ;)

It has an 'exit 0' at the top, so it doesn't hurt (cron.daily performance is not critical at this level). Some people undoubtedly find this useful - I know I used to have something like this to remind me of upcoming events. I don't think it's necessary to remove a useful piece of configuration from some Ubuntu users just because it won't work in the default installation; it might be a different matter if it got in the way of some other goal, but it doesn't seem to.
