Bug Description
It would be great if core could provide notifications for more events to support plugins or any new internal functionality like:
- New subscription
- New thread started
Those two notifications seems to be essential for the MM3-Metrics module (https:/
Also, the notification that the core currently provides is that of a new posting. If this notification carried more information like the number of recipients or the message size we could provide additional interesting metrics via the MM3-Metrics module.

I added events for subscriptions and unsubscriptions.
I don't think it's possible right now to add an event for a new thread, since this isn't something that Mailman itself tracks. An archiver would have to send that notification, but that may in fact be impossible for remote archivers.
Actually, I don't think the core currently sends event notifications on postings. Please open a separate issue for that.
