Bug Description

In testing the update to 0.7, i noticed when i clicked on "Online Accounts" in the session menu which was red immediately after session login, a browser opened and did a few redirects updating some auth. It then continued to open new tabs repeatedly, dozens of them in just a couple minutes.

I am holding off uploading signon, signon-ui and account-plugins until we figure out what is causing this.

Wow :-) I can't imagine what that is.
Did the "poltergeist" happen right after you clicked on "Online Accounts", or did you also click on some account and attempted to re-authenticate it?

Indeed some changes where done to signon-ui, so *sometimes* you would see a new browser tab appearing when you *click* on some URL (or if the account plugin is broken, as soon as you start the authentication), but nothing should happen spontaneously.

Can you please provide the syslog? Also, try to reproduce it again after running:

killall signon-ui
export SSOUI_LOGGING_LEVEL=2
signon-ui

(and capture the console log)
