Bug Description
After a recent (~1-2 weeks) update of Unity, window focusing behavior after alt-tabbing has been somewhat erratic. I often switch between two windows, doing a quick alt-tab press, expecting the new window to both be raised and focused. However, a lot of the time, the window is not focused (indeed, nothing is; I tested this by having only two windows open and they are both greyed as inactive, so I really don't know where my keypresses are going).
This is annoying and breaks my workflow because I have to either slowly alt-tab ensuring that the desired window is focused, then let go, or just click on it with the mouse.
Steps to reproduce:
- Close all applications
- Open Firefox
- Open gnome-terminal
- Quickly alt-tab to go back to Firefox
- Quickly alt-tab to alternate between the two windows
Expected results:
- The inactive window is raised and focused when alt-tabbing.
Actual results:
- Sometimes the window is raised but not focused.

Here's a screencast video showing the erratic behavior, I loaded screenkey so you can see what I'm actually pressing. Note how sometimes it switches to Firefox or the terminal, it grabs focus for an instant, then loses it.
