Bug Description
Edubuntu included gnote as a trial since we wanted to reduce dependencies on mono at some point.
After evaluating gnote, we found that it was incomplete and has stability problems.
Since we're still including mono anyway, it would be best to stick with Tomboy for now.
We mean to change this before feature freeze but it escaped our radar. We know Tomboy is known to work and consider it beneficial for the Edubuntu 12.10 release to ship with something that works well as a note taking app.

It's unfortunate we didn't do the revert before feature freeze, but I agree that gnote just doesn't work.
So +1 on the FFe, seed change pushed.
