Bug Description

Hello, on Ubuntu 12.04 (32bit) , the fontconfig application (2.8.0-3ubuntu9.1) does not list all the fonts of the packages lmodern (2.004.1-3.1ubuntu1) , whereas fontconfig (2.8.0-2ubuntu1) does on lucid 32bit with lmodern (2.004.1-3).

I have check the difference between the two lmodern packages, and the only difference is that the newer version has no defoma config file, which is normal, since defoma is not supported anymore.

In attachment i put the output of 'fc-list | /bin/grep "LM"' on both machine (precise 32bit ant lucid 32bit), which give the lmodern fonts found by fontconfig.
The important fact is that in the precise version, there are far less font listed (LMMath fonts are missing, and many other).

The only explaination i can figure is that on lucid, there was a defoma support in fontconfig, which enabled to list all the fonts and when defoma support was removed from fontconfig, some features went apparently lost, like finding all the lmodern fonts.

Is it possible to correct this problem, or is this feature gone with defoma ?

Thank you for your great work.
