Bug Description
This one is about VLC 2.0.3 on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal.
VLC opens fine and without any errors, but when clicking on prefrences from Tools menu, desktop and VLC both freeze.
Killing the VLC process will return the deskop to its normal state.
Here are the errors I saw in the command line after the crash:
QNativeImage: Unable to attach to shared memory segment.
X Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) 9
Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea)
Resource id: 0x0
