Bug Description
This is true with 12.04 and 12.10 and likely earlier versions.
And to be honest, I've actually only tested against rxvt, xterm, uxterm, and related variants. I've tried it within and without tmux. I've tried changing the value of $TERM in lxterminal. No matter what the same results:
1. In non-lxterminal terminals, w3m-img displays inline images.
2. In lxterminal, w3m-img does not display inline images.
I tried to figure out the solution to the problem, thinking that perhaps it had something to do with the termcap entry. Turns out xterm is what lxterminal uses. Again, xterm itself has no problems. My only thinking is that the termcap entry for xterm describes capabilities that lxterminal does not have. I'm not sure that this can be solved with a new termcap entry specifically for lxterminal or if there is something lxterminal lacks. I'd be happy to investigate further if someone can offer some direction.

It's probably fixed upstream, could you try using the LXDE daily PPA : https:/ /launchpad. net/~lubuntu- dev/+archive/ lubuntu- daily ?
