Bug Description

At end of install from 12.10 386 desktop ISO, "installation is complete... reboot?" dialog, the ok begins the reboot process, Unity graphical session exits, at command line:
"broadcast message from root@ubuntu (unknown) at 22.42 ...
The system is going down for reboot NOW!"

And it hangs. Left it ten mins, then reset the VM manually. Normal boot from installed copy follows.

Testing 12.10 daily builds ISO for 386 Desktop, dated 28/08 and 30/08 in VM on Oracle VirtualBox 4.2.0 Beta r79756.
