Are you using the AMD FGLRX driver? This is sadly a common issue with that driver, and there are a few duplicates of it.

I do not have AMD hardware. That is why I think I do not have AMD drivers. FGLRX is not installed.

I noticed that I have curves fonts in some applications that use 3D accelerator, for example in the game Extreme tux. But unity 2d work without bug's.

AMD is the new name of ATI. (The AMD CPU company purchased the ATI graphics company. Now they make CPUs and GPUs).

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.
