Bug Description

Modem manager correctly recognizes my GSM modem, but crashes while attempting to connect.
syslog reports "modem-manager[1957]: segfault at 0 ip 0024a8b0 sp bfedf424 error 4 in libglib-2.0.so.0.3200.3[1d8000+f7000]"

Distribution: Lubuntu 12.04 (32-bit)
Modem: Huawei E1550

The bug is persistent.

My dmesg showed similar things:

[161749.412787] modem-manager[27128]: segfault at 0 ip b76588b0 sp bfe6f804 error 4 in libglib-2.0.so.0.3200.3[b75e6000+f7000]
[161749.479920] init: modemmanager main process (27128) killed by SEGV signal
[161749.479939] init: modemmanager main process ended, respawning

I'm using Huawei E1550/E1800 with Kubuntu 12.04.

I made a "tricky" install of modemmanager 0.6 on 12.04 LTS (which originally uses MM 0.5) and the bug disappeared.
So I think it's purely a modemmanager bug, already solved in the last version.
