Bug Description

The screen doesn't refresh properly. When I type in the terminal and I press the up or down arrow keys, the commands don't get refreshed. I have to move the cursor over the command or press on the title bar or something else for it to refresh.

Even in windows which have tabs. When I change from one tab to another, the window doesn't refresh. Again I have to press on something else.

It happens in other windows and in browsers too. Also nautilus doesn't refresh folder contents sometimes.
Typing text into gedit is also a problem.

It doesn't happen in Unity 2D and Gnome 3.
I just have a Intel HD 3000 integrated graphic card.

The problem appears to be caused by incorrect damage events due to:
LP-PPA-xorg-edgers

Please uninstall that PPA and let us know if the problem persists.

I have to purge the PPA right?

When I try it, 266 packages are listed to be removed.

The list include skype, wine and many other libraries.
Is that normal?

Pramod, you can use 'ppa-purge' which is pretty much of a safe tool.
