Unable to change icon size in launcher

Running a 12.10 beta and did some updated to Unity after which my launchbar icon resized to 48 (I think). Tried to reduce them to 32 using the Appearance (left chick on empty desktop) but would not change size. Thinking it was a install or my failure rebuild the system on the 8/27/12 Daily build. Have the same problem, can't change the Launcher Icon Size.

I can't reproduce this on my current Quantal machine.

    (nor under 6.2.0-0ubuntu3)

Reset Unity and can now adjust launcher icon size.

rm ~/.compiz-1/session/*
rm ~/.config/compiz-1/compizconfig/config
unity --reset

I just upgraded to 12.10 and have same problem.

compiz 1:0.9.8.4-0ubuntu2
Intel graphics

I did
rm ~/.compiz-1/session/*
rm ~/.config/compiz-1/compizconfig/config
unity --reset

but it does not help
