hotkey toggle buddy list fails with unity .

when i set hotkey shift+f12 once triggered it minimizes and instantly re maximizes .

in 11.04 it worked properly i donot know about 11.10 . i can only guess its todo with the unity side panel.
also sometimes it will minimize but gets stuck in the unity panel and will not maximize when hotkey is triggered.

not sure if this should be here its a combined bug. only unity effects it.

3) expected when hotkey triggered buddy list visibility would toggle on "or" off.

4) when triggered it toggles "on and off" or gets traped in unity panel after a few tries.

the same thing happens to me in quantal beta 2

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

this is a workaround use dconf-editor and add either all or pidgin to the whitelist in desktop>unity>panel systray-whitelist
mine looks like this systray-whitelist['all']
it seems if pidgin isnt in a tray of some sort it gets buggered.
good luck hope pidgin is added as default in the future to white-list

I couldn't see a panel entry under desktop>unity in dconf-editor, however I fixed it with :

gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']"
