Disks seem to never stop scanning the floppy drive

1. Lubuntu 12.10 i386 usb stick daily iso 8-26-2012
2. gnome-disk-utility 3.5.3
3. I expect the disks app to finish loading.
4. The application is usable but has not finished loading properly, the loading icon never stops revolving to the right of the floppy drive nor do any of the other disk appear to the right.
