Please try using: bcmwl-kernel-source
because that is the official driver and has this bug fixed already (bug 994255).

there are some solutions:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2072887
and
http://techblog.cylim.net/?p=12
I used the latter and then put a # in front of the blacklist ssd and b43 in:
broadcom-sta-common.conf

The first seems to work according to other people.
Ubuntu, please FIX this!
