Bug Description
Many Windows users are reporting "authentication failed" errors when trying to login to the Windows client. Having them manually reinstall the valicert certificate fixes those problems.
Steps to solve the problem:
1. Go to

Restart your computer 3. Install Ubuntu One again
If that doesn't work, please follow the steps
below: 1. Open the Windows Control Panel 2. Click
on "Internet Options" 3. Click the "Content" tab &
then the "Clear SSL state" button 4. Click the
"Certificates" button 5. Make sure the "Intended
purpose" drop down is set to "" 6. Click on the
"Trusted Root Certification Authorities" tab 7.

to your Desktop:

7.2 Click the "Import" button in the "Certificates"
window 7.3 Click the "Next" button and then click
the "Browse" button and select the valicert file on
your desktop 7.4 Click the "Next" button until you
get to the end and then click the "Finish" button
8. Reboot your computer 9. Try to setup Ubuntu One
again
