Bug Description

in the Network Install from Internet
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/NetbootInstallFromInternet
the instructions are insufficient...

[quote]
Download the appropriate initrd.gz and linux files for your architecture and distribution from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/netboot/
(These files are quite small, under 10MB for either architecture.)
[/endquote]

The link brings up a page with different versions - why?
choosing one, and then architecture, reveals numerous files and folders - now what?
looking around i find a "initrd" that is 16M - contradiction to 10M or totally wrong file?
As for "appropriate linux files" - what are these?

So this is a show stopper for anyone new to linux that only has network install as an option.

In my opinion, the page with different versions should be shown simply because there are multiple supported versions, and some may work better than others on certain machines. However, why 10.10 is shown (an unsupported release), I don't know. Also, 12.10 should be listed as a development release on there.

I don't understand what to do after going to the download page, and I think the instructions should be more clear about this.

Since you seem to know how it should be changed, it would be great if you could fix it.

Due to the nature of the community help wiki, you can't request changes to it in the form of bug reports.
