Wireless -very- frequent disconnects in LinuxMint13 - Atheros AR9462

Wireless Connection disconnects very frequently, almost about every 15 minutes.
In some cases (more often) the network manager indicate tha i am connected, in other cases clearly disconnects and occasionaly cannot connect (like i have disabled the wireless) an i restart the hardware (wireless card button) to start again.

My system is Aspire One 765 with Linux Mint 13 kde.
My wireless card is Atheros AR9462.

I've tried as been sugested by some forum threads to run the nohwcrypt option:
sudo modprobe -v ath9k nohwcrypt=1
and to make a file in /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf with "options ath9k nohwcrypt"
but... nothing.

I have updated the linux-firmware to version 1.90 because i saw this update:
ar3k: add patch and sysconfig for Qualcomm Atheros AR9462
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/1.85)

I was happy for about 1 hour, after that disconnections started again (it is joking me right ;))
Please it is very annoying.

P.S.1 I think the Atheros AR9462 also has bluetooth support, guess what my system tells me no adapter was found (and i have tried the btcoex_enable option)

I used the first fix in the post linked by Alexandru and I must say it clearly improved my connection stability. I'm going to paste it here for quicker reference :

Open terminal and enter the following command:

sudo -s gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf

at the end of the file add this:

options ath9k nohwcrypt=1

Save an restart your OS.

If you still have the issue, then try the other instructions in the blog, but in my case I doubt they were at cause. First other fix is to disable n wifi, which I don't use, and the last one is to disable IPv6.

I have the same sort of problem with this laptop on Ubuntu 13.04 and Lubuntu 12.10 (i386). nohwcrypt=1 doesn't seem to help. So I'm probably going to buy a better supported wireless card, like the Intel one mentioned in the forum thread.

I've been experiencing similar problems, and like Alan Jenkins am running Ubuntu 13.04 having upgraded two days ago from 12.10. It is possibly connected with a rather weak signal on the wireless router - and strong signals from other (public) routers in the area

I'm having same problem with Acer Aspire V3-571 and Linux Mint 13 Maya. I also saw that restarting from the sleep causes dificulties to reconnect the network, in that case rebooting is best way to get ride of the problem :(

Same issues, Acer Aspire V5-551G. When setting up the brightness (the button Fn), the computer starts to slow down. WiFi approximately every 2 minutes disappears, we have to do physical reconnect the cable, and is endless.

I have been running Kubuntu 12.04 since its release and this problem has plauged my installation on my Acer Aspire V3-771G laptop. It does not appear to be load related.
I am running the 3.8.0-27-generic kernel. I have tried the 3.2 and 3.5 kernels.
The problem affects my wireless chip, AR9462, AND it also affects my ethernet chip, AR8151.
The disconnect/reconnect is random. Sometimes the reconnect is almost instantly, sometimes almost a minute can go by.
I have tried WICD but the problem persisted, so I went back to the plasma-network-manager.
I have played with settings of the ath9k PARMS vars. No joy.
The atl1c module has no PARMS to set.
The Win7 side runs both wireless and cable just fine.

Oh, if I use suspend then the network-manager doesn't re-enable. I have to change the "managed=false" to "managed=true" in the ifupdown section of /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkMagager.conf to re-enable the plasma-network-manager's ability to join and manage networks.

Was this bug ever moved to a ubuntu bug as Christopher M suggested?
I have the same (or at least similar) problem on a Acer V5-171 with Atheros AR9462.
I didn't know what the best practice was so I made a new bug reported and made it a duplicate for the time being.

Using 14.04 TT
workarounds that didn't work for me:
disable ipv6
add options to ath9k and reboot: nohwcrypt=1 blink=1 enable_diversity=1 btcoex_enable=1 (added one by one)

I read about changing power options to FULL, which I didn't manage to figure out how to do in 14.04
Problems were existent in Ubuntu 13.04 as well.
