I'm tagging this as a security problem because a browser crash can often be used to execute arbitrary code.

A similar crash occurs in midori therefore the bug is probably in webkit.

Midori seems to run it fine on quantal (midori 0.4.3-1ubuntu1)
and epiphany 3.5.4-0ubuntu1

I upgraded my system to quantal and all browsers can now pass the octane benchmark.
