innobackupex does not process --defaults-file

Bug Description

Using innobackupex to backup the databases, with mysql Server version: 5.2.3-MariaDB-tokudb-5.2.7-38674-log (MariaDB - http://mariadb.com/ Tokutek 5.2.7-38674)

Verified the problem exists in percona-xtrabackup packages 1.4->2.0.2 although reverting back down to 1.2 works properly

innobackupex --defaults-file=/etc/mysql/my.cnf --password . /mnt/backups/data/latest

the my.cnf contains proper settings and I have verified it works in correlation to previous bugs reported (I cant remmeber the bug id)

MariaDB 5.2 is not currently supported by XtraBackup. This is most likely a duplicate of bug #733665, though the symptoms are a bit different.
