Bug Description

Hello,

I am using a 08/23 armel hardware pack and rootfs from Linaro 11.08 archive to create an image for beagleboard. I use the following command to create a image

 $ sudo linaro-media-create --image_file beagle_sd.img --dev beagle --binary nano-n-tar-20110823-1.tar.gz --hwpack hwpack_linaro-omap3_20110823-0_armel_supported.tar.gz

Just before it creates a image, I get a box with error saying "Unable to open a folder for rootfs." and below this it says "No application is registered as handling this file". After I press OK, it creates a image. Can anyone please tell me, how to resolve this error?

This doesn't seem to be a QEMU related problem -- I've redirected the bug to linaro-image-tools.

So someone from linaro-image-tools will reply, or you can help with it?

Hi,

can you please indicate the version of linaro-media-create you are using and the operating system you are on?
The "error" you see is not reòated to linaro-media-create or linaro-image-tools per se, it is the operating system that is not able to visualize that particular file.

It is not an issue for the success of image creation.
