Bug Description

GNU Screen hasn't seen a release since 2008:

On https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/serverguide/byobu.html - we should referencing 'tmux' instead of screen.

No new release of Screen since 2008. So. Maybe it is so good that no new version is needed. I have only ever observed people referring to and recommending Screen, and never heard of tmux.
Myself, I have never used either. Setting this one to won't fix.

If we are writing byobu documentation, then instead of referring to screen, we should be referring to its default backend that is actually used on an Ubuntu system. See: /etc/byobu/backend .

Also, there might be the fact that there have been no new releases; as it's been abandoned(?).
