Bug Description

Binary package hint: electricsheep

The electricsheep screensaver only comes up in 640x480 resolution, although the electricsheep.desktop file in /usr/share/applications/screensavers/ correctly specifies electricsheep --root 1 --zoom 1

I cannot confirm this for Kubuntu Feisty.

What do you mean exactly? Does it fill the whole screen or is there only a 640x480 sized window?

This appears in Ubuntu (Gnome) for me. The whole screen goes black, and the screensaver only fills the upper left 640x480 rectangle of my 1024x768 screen. Interestingly enough, it seems that _sometimes_ the screensaver switches to fill the entire screen at some point (after running > 0.5h), but even then there are artifacts of some panel applets (systemmonitor) appearing.

Do the following commands (e.g. from entered in a terminal) work?

1. electricsheep --zoom 1 --root 1
2. electricsheep --zoom 1 --mplayer 1

The first method does not display anything at all here, when started manually (but works when started as the KDE screensaver).

The second method works when invoked manually. It requires mplayer, of course.

It seems like after the latest bunch of updates, things are working as expected.

Then please set the status to "Fix released" for Ubuntu, if it's fixed now for you.

Additionally, it seems you have added the bug for Baltix by mistake. Set this one to "Rejected" then in this case.

Changed in electricsheep:
status: Unconfirmed → Fix Released
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected
