Bug Description

For some very odd reason I can't fathom, when using the window switcher in Unity 3D on 12.10, if I switch to the Claws Mail window, I always get some other random window coming forward. It looks like it's often one or two windows to the right or left of the chosen Claws window (i.e. right or left in the switcher).

I don't think this is pilot error since switching to any other window (e.g. Terminal, Chromium, Emacs) seems to work just fine.

Thanks for the bug report. Can you please attach a video of the problem you are facing? This may as well be a duplicate of an already known bug.

Here's a movie of the problem. It's easily reproducible when the claws window is minimized and emacs is active, as you'll see twice. Once claws is de-minimized, then it appears to come to the front.

Does this happen only when multiple windows are open? If only Claws and one other window is open, does it still happen?

It seems like some BAMF mismatching is involved here, but not sure.

Emacs often triggers such issues, so does it occur when emacs is closed?

I rarely minimize my Emacs windows, but I've never seen it happen with
anything other than Claws.

Not really sure what "BAMF" is, but different open window configurations does
not seem to make a difference. The only thing that does make a difference is
whether the Claws window is minimized (and hidden) or not. If it's just open
but beneath other windows, it comes up fine. If it's minimized it usually
comes up but *behind* other windows like Emacs windows. Tab away, then back
again, and it will come to the front.

Can you still reproduce it?
