Bug Description

I am using Samsung NP300E5Z-S08IN laptop bought 3 months ago. After buying the laptop I had installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS amd64 bit version on my laptop. For two months there was no problem, but after that I found problem occuring when my laptop is on battery power.

When I am running Ubuntu on battery power, once I login into my account the laptop screen starts flickering and hangs exactly after 27 seconds. I had completely formatted my system and reinstalled Ubuntu, but still problem continous.

On submitting my laptop to Samsung service centre, it was found that my laptop motherboard, hard disk and screen everything are working fine. The technician at service centre installed windows and found that the problem has disappeared. Hence, according to them there is a problem with OS (i.e. Ubuntu).

Well I have already checked power settings and they are fine. I don't know why this problem is occuring, it is a mystery for me.

Hope someone out there can help me, because I want to use ubuntu only.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1037079/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
