Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

It looks like the hostname on your system is not set correctly, and this causes the postfix maintainer script to fail. Try "sudo dpkg-reconfigure postfix" to change the hostname that postfix is using.

Marking this as a duplicate of bug 625023, because this is another example of the configuration system allowing invalid values to be entered.

But this misconfiguration itself isn't really a bug, so see http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community for pointers on how to get help on fixing this if you continue to have trouble.
