1px of wallpaper is visible if window is maximized

Bug Description

When the window of QtCreator is maximaized there is a 1px margin between the window and the launcher at left (see screenshot). Wallpaper is visible through this gap. Looks ugly.

This is a bug with the window manager or the desktop shell. Either Unity is reporting a mis-sized panel strut, or compiz is just incorrectly placing the window.
