Bug Description

While using Ubuntu 12.04 OS, the mouse with PS/2 connector stops responding and i have to unplug the mouse from the computer and it works fine for some uncertain time after reconnecting it. This issue occurs most of the times while using Ubuntu. So its an inconvenience for the user. I am a QA tester by profession so its my job to report problems in software that i am using.

To reproduce this issue just use any mouse with PS/2 connector and use it for a day or two. One more thing, the issue is more visible while opening or closing any application or folder. My computer has 1 gb RAM and intel dual core processor. The mouse works fine with no interruption on Microsift windows, so there is no issue with the mouse (i guess).

It would be good if you guys have a look at this issue. Though its not a major issue but still can cause a big inconvenience for users. If you guys need any further information or my computer's DXDIAG, revert me back and i will try to provide anything in my reach.

You guys are doing a great job by providing a free OS which is reliable, stable, User friendly and much secure than any of the OS.
It's my pleasure to help you guys. Kudos to you guys, Keep up the good work.

Thanks and Regards.,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1036038/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Tried to narrow down the search in Package section but couldn't find the Exact match for Kernal/linux/Hardware.
Anyways i have changed the target to Project (Linux). Could be helpful....
