Bug Description

Ubuntu: 12.04 LTS
including: libreoffice 1:3.5.4-0ubuntu1
except backported: lo-menubar 0.1.1-0ubuntu1

Upon fast inteaction with Libreoffice menu, libreoffice freezes and .xsession-error is flooded (~500Mb/minute) with the following error:

LIBDBUSMENU-GLIB-CRITICAL **: dbusmenu_menuitem_property_set_variant: assertion `DBUSMENU_IS_MENUITEM(mi)' failed

There is no other way to get the program work again than killing the process.

How fast are we talking for how long? I have went through libreoffice menus like crazy and have not seen a single line in xsession-errors. tried on both Quantal and Ubuntu 12.04

This happened to me and could be reproduced reliably when inserting a picture in a text document, then trying to insert another. Upon selecting "Insert → Picture → From File..." the second time, the file dialog does not open, instead Writer freezes and .xsession-errors gets flooded.

Removing the lo-menubar package "fixed" the problem.

LibreOffice 3.6 and later has an internal unity integration and thus does not need lo-menubar anymore.
