Touchpad mouse pointer freezes when uploading using a ShareBox

I am running Ubuntu 12.04 x64 on a Lenovo ThinkPad L520 with NitroShare 0.2. If I create a ShareBox and drop a file on it for transfer to another machine the mouse pointer stops responding to the touchpad after about 15 seconds. Mouse buttons still work and the built in trackpoint mouse also works (this machine has both a touchpad and a trackpoint). The file transfer completes normally, but I have to log out and in again to get the touchpad to work again. If I remove the ShareBox and upload the same file using the notification area dropdown "Send files to" the touchpad is not affected. So it clearly the ShareBox causing the mouse pointer to stop responding to the touchpad.
