slingshot not closed after opening an application

Clicking and opening an application (i've it in tried settings & scratch) from slingshot does not close sling shot automatically. it still seems to be there (you can't see it). I noticed this because you cant seem to click the close button (if it is in the area of where slingshot would be) of active applications until you click the applications button in the tool bar which closes the invisible slingshot window.

first time submitting a bug, sorry if i made a mistake.
