Dvdrw/cdrw's won't unmount after problems blanking or ejecting

Bug Description
Tried blanking a dvdrw, wouldn't read the dvd, had to eject forcefully, but the volume still lists in the devices column of nautilus and won't allow me to "unmount" even though the drive is empty.. nor will it allow me to mount..
