Bug Description
Attempting to install quantal on a system running precise (installed from alternate CD) with LVMs results in ubiquity looping and never allowing the install to proceed:
- On "Installation type" screen, select "erase Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and reinstall"
- click "Install Now"
- On "Erase Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and reinstall" screen, click "Install Now"
- bottom of screen shows "Installing..."
- window appears titled "Remove existing logical volume data?" and tells me I have 2 LVs to remove(root, swap_1) in 1 VG in 1 PV (/dev/sda5).
- click "Continue".
- window disappears and takes me back to "Erase Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and reinstall" screen.
- click "Install Now"
- a moment later the window reverts to the "Installation type" screen.
- clicking "Install Now" just loops round again.

Selecting "Something else" also gives unexpected behaviour since although it shows the VGs, nothing appears to be deletable via this screen, and each VG is shown twice with the 2nd entry indented, like this:
/dev/mapper/ myhost- root mapper/ myhost- root myhost- swap_1 mapper/ myhost- swap_1
/dev/
/dev/mapper/
/dev/
/dev/sda
/dev/sda1
/dev/sda5
The "used" column shows "unknown" for all indented entities.
