Week 32:Launcher does not show an icon for running applications

Week 32: Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal (Radeon GPU) with ppa:unity-team/staging

Launcher does not show an icon for a newly opened applcation. For example: Open a gedit application, check for a gedit icon on launcher. There is no gedit icon on launcher.

Sometimes after a delay of couple of minutes after closing an application, icons with no image (shows a question mark on the icon) is shown on the launcher as shown in this screenshot.

This one again requires some solid steps to reproduce the issue. I have now setup a multimonitor setup to check if I can reproduce this issue by any way but seems I can't. Though I can't deny the fact that this types of bugs have been affecting unity for quite a long time now. Since there are no easy reproducers it becomes most difficult to fix issue like these.

This is probably also fixed in unity 6.2+ in the staging ppa.
