html5 snippet contains bogus element <content>

If you check this with validator on w3c org, the <content> tag does not exist.

 Line 11, Column 13: Element content not allowed as child of element body in this context. (Suppressing further errors from this subtree.)

I guess you want this snippet removed with this bug report?

People felt it was useful enough to be included as a snippet. I do not
write HTML and have no opinion of my own except that I prefer
usefulness over standards. I set this to incomplete for a while and see
if other people voice their opinions. If not, I will set to Wontfix.

I don’t care either. I just looked at git log and thought, »what’s this?«, and it turned out it doesn’t exist. This is similar to including a goto statement in the python snippets.

Back in the days when I wrote HTML, it was not as clear cut as python.
There were many custom tags only useful in some areas. Has this changed
so much?

It seems like it has changed. I spoke to a HTML guru I know and he also suggested getting rid of the tag. Done.
