Non-Detect LG cd-rw and dvd-r

I've a problem during the installation of Ubuntu 4.10...

After the selection of language, and keyboard distribution, the installation
program tells me that there is no controllers for my cdrom, and ask me if i
want select them manually, i accept but any works. I've a LG dvd and cdrom, I
would like a solution, if there is some, please...

I can't give you more information, because I can't (or I don't know) how to
continue with the installation). I've a Suse 9.1 distribution and this problem
isn't...

Does your system have any SATA disks?

yes, I've 2 sata hdisks, Seagate and Maxtor... 120 Gb each one...

But, why do you ask me it???
