Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-keyring

In edgy, I would enter my keyring password once, and that would survive multiple suspend/resume cycles until I next rebooted the machine. In feisty, the keyring is locked on suspend, even though "Lock on idle" is not ticked for that keyring. I'm not using pam-keyring.

Same here. Locks the keyring on suspend with Feisty - didn't on Edgy - even without "Lock on Idle".

The only open bug I can find that might be considered a duplicate of this bug seems to concern the user using pam-keyring, and has slightyly different consequences, so I don't think this is a dupe.

Likely an upstream bug or wanted change

Can't see how it would be a wanted change, it goes contrary to the tick box. However, I don't know what's changed, but it seems that it's stopped happening now. network-manager-gnome is able to instantly reconnect on resume without need for a password to be entered.

closing the bug then, a comment on an another bug stated that was an upstream decision to reset the keyring on suspend which has been changed
