RecordMyDesktop not showing in Unity launcher when running in Ubuntu 12.04

When running RecordMyDesktop in Unity on Ubuntu 12.04, no icon for the program is placed in the launcher while the program is running. RecordMyDesktop is also not getting found in the dash (separate bug report.)

The solution is to install RecordMyDesktop from the Ubuntu Software Center, the problem is occurring when the program is installed from the command line.

This is the expected behaviour. All programs are only incorparated with their icons in unity dash panel, when they are installed from software center.

When you whant to have an different behaviour, please attach here over "Also affects project" the Unity upstream project and ask to mark this here as wish.

I set it to incomplete, set it back to new when you have done the step desribe above or when you have no interest let it expire.
