Bug Description

Since installing mythbuntu 12.04 (from mythbuntu ISO or ubuntu 12.04 + mythTV, so two separate installations on same hardware), I've noticed that with Mythwelcome timeout set to 120s, although the unit shutdowns after what still seems like 120s, the countdown no longer updates in 10s increments. Instead it appears to update in 60s increments i.e. 120s......(one minute passes)......60s.........0s.......shutdown. Very occassionally I also see idle........ will shut down in 90s .............30s...............shutdown. I asked question on mythbuntu forum and another user confirmed same behaviour (they suggested "polling" was now set to 60s for some reason). Another user suggested I report as bug.

Confirm that I also see this behaviour on ubuntu 12.04 with mythtv v0.25 including very occasionally, and apparently randomly, seeing a partial contdown but never a 60, 90, 80, 70......countdown (which is, I believe, how it used to work). Shutdown still happens normally so not exactly a serious bug but nevertheless a loss of functionality that used to work perfectly and was a useful indicator of when the box was about to enter shutdown.

Confirm this happen on Mythbuntu 12.04.2 mythtv 0.25 and 0.26. At the same time after mythfrontend exits display doesn't refresh, while shutdown procedure goes as expected.

This happens for me as well on Mythbuntu 12.04.2. Mythwelcome doesn't refresh display on exit from mythfrontend until I hit i or f11. Countdown happens in 60 s increments. Also, Shutdown now has no effect. Startup and shutdown on idle work as expected though.

We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The biggest one is that upstream has moved on to a new version and believes this to be fixed. Could you please verify if this issue still exists in the latest version?

Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer versions.

I'm currently using rel . 0.27 / 14.04.1 and I can confirm this problem has been completely solved.
 I apologize for the delay.
