Bug Description

this bug probably is related to another one I'll report. these two don't allow me to install.
I started the ubuntu-session from the cdimage. (I booted with the files of that image located on sdb1)
there I started "Install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS" after adding the "-d" parameter.
while the data was still copying I submitted UserInfo.
then that UserInfo was replaced by a white page and the program did end.
the data wasn't copied to the end, there was a lot left and the hdd just stopped working.
I can see a waiting-cursor on screen.

if I do the same in the actual installer, boot directly into ubiquity, it doesn't work either.
however, then lightdm will quit and I see a black screen.
I can use the consoles though.
